Buenas Dias del Sol.

Spanglish is about all I can manage to work with. I have taken an almost complete year of Spanish and I would eventually like to see the damages of the Mayan book burnings undone to a certain extent. All the main codexs are over in Europe for now. I have some reproductions of the most intact of the painted accordion books, but from an admirers perspective would like to see a revival in the ancient craft of Mayan and Aztec book making. One of the books I admire on this topic is The Painted Books of Mexico. It's a fine agave nectar that I had parked on my shelf for a few years. The book isn't a long one. But it contains a treasure of information and well produced images on the subject of Mayan book making.

I haven't had a margarita near the Mexican border in a long time. Why, not enough dinero to travel and raise the future. The people of Mexico have been friendly to me. I've smoked a pipe with them and done manual labor. But it has been awhile. Ultimately I would like to visit at least one pyramid. Even though my spiritually is close to Santa Clause and the nature of Minnesota's 10,000 lakes. Jesus or my maternal ancestry might save me, but he is rich and he's been gone for a few Millenia. So I'm closer to being a scientist. The Maya were scientific too, I believe but I wasn't alive when they were around. But the peoples nearest to the equator seem to have been the primary receivers of knowledge. Star, Sun, and Moon observations must have been critical for understanding their temporal situation.

A sugar skull and cerveza await me somewhere down in old Mexico. Maybe I'll bring my guitar and perform my instrumental guitar album in a cafe. Though it could be dangerous for an El Mariachi. You can check my guitar case Federales, I'm just an author and a musician and not someone pretending to be Rimbaud. I'm just an occasional collector and distributor of art y libros. Mexico City would be a massive destination. I reread Kerouac's Mexico City Blues a while back and Tristesse years ago. I'm sober but thirsty. I think I need a passport now to travel there. It's always been easy to get in. But getting back to the USA is always strict. Do we really need a border if people just get in  to the continent anyway?
