Sauce. Skin flakes get everywhere, something for the dust mites to gnaw on and feed themselves with. The will need nourishment to maintain themselves long enough to lay eggs and produce the next generation. Dust mites are part human because they consume the left over skin flakes and are nourished by the dermal emissions. Some of the dust mites sing while clinging tenaciously to the floor. Why are they anchored to their position? I suppose it is to wait for a breeze to travel to the next location.
Watch out for rabid animals too. Sometimes they lurk waiting for the opportunity to infect you with their own anger.
You can be the sacrificial endangered species for only so long till You are consumed. A little scientific advancement might have helped your cause. A good attractive psychiatrist perhaps? Well educated but still slightly incompetent so as to maintain delusional qualities and a steady hug supply..
